Multifacel managerial aspect of water resource in different economic sector like acquaculture, irrigation, hydro power generation, production of minor minerals has been dealt in detail. The book emphasized upon the identification of sources water bodies in the study region like rivers, streams, lakes, ponds, wells and springs on carographic principles. It includes the evaluation of water potential in the different water bodies and their utilization for socio economic development of the area. The book also traces out the origin, extent and nature of aquatic pollution and variation in aquatic ecosystems besides assessing the anthropogenic impact on them. Special attentions have been laid to formulate certain managerial and conversational measures for proper and judicious utilization of water resources in the future.
