Manu S. Pillai is an Indian author whose debut non-fiction work, The Ivory Throne: Chronicles of the House of Travancore, won the Yuva Sahitya Akademi Award in 2017. Manu S. Pillai was born in Kerala. He did his studies from Fergusson College in Pune and at King’s College in London. He has managed the parliamentary office of Dr Shashi Tharoor in New Delhi. He was also commissioned by BBC as a researcher. Manu Pillai’s second work is Rebel Sultans: The Deccan from Khilji to Shivaji.
