In recent years the spate of PIL in the Courts of litigation explosion shows people unfinching faith in the judiciary. When all democratic and public instritutions have failed to succour the common man. He looks expectantly towards the judiciary. No doubt it has taken note of his miseries. In many quarters of society its new role has been severely criticised as judicial adventurism. But the real question is Is judiciary a panacea Can it set the entire system right. Have the big fish ever been taken to task. Has relief actually come to the common man or Is the judiciary riding a high horse. All these and many other related questions have been discussed thoroughly in this book. About Author : Dr. B S Tyagi born in 1954, did his master degree in English, Political Sceince, Philosophy and History and Ph.d. in Political Science. His other books includes Political PHilosophy of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan short and poems both in English and Hindi. He is at present teaching at teh Muzaffar Nagar University.
